Crisp Venezuelan Empanadas with Garlic
A delicious twist on traditional empanadas, filled with a zesty garlic filling and fried to a crispy perfection.
Ingredients

- ●3 cloves Garlic, minced
- ●1 cup Zesty cheeseAvailable at most grocery stores
- ●1 cup Crisp lettuce, shreddedOptional garnish

Preheat oil in a deep frying pan to 375°F (190°C).

Roll out the empanada dough to a thickness of about 1/8 inch.

Cut out circles of dough using a cookie cutter or the rim of a glass.

Place a spoonful of the garlic filling in the center of each dough circle.

Fold the dough in half to form a half-moon shape, and press the edges together to seal.

Dredge the empanadas in a mixture of flour, salt, and pepper, shaking off excess.
