French Lamb Fattah
A modern twist on the classic Middle Eastern dish, this French-inspired lamb fattah features crispy fried onions and a zesty tzatziki sauce.
Ingredients
- ●1 (1.5 pound) Lamb Shoulder
- ●2 tablespoons Olive Oil
- ●1 large Onions
- ●1 cup All-purpose Flour
- ●1 cup Breadcrumbs
- ●3 cloves Garlic
- ●1 cup Zesty Tzatziki Sauce
- ●1/4 cup Fresh Parsley
- ●to taste Salt
- ●to taste Black Pepper
Instructions

Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).

Season the lamb shoulder with salt and pepper.

Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large Dutch oven over medium-high heat.

Sear the lamb shoulder until browned on all sides, about 2-3 minutes per side.

Transfer the lamb to the preheated oven and roast for 20 minutes.

While the lamb is cooking, heat the remaining 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.

Add the sliced onions and cook until crispy and golden brown, about 15-20 minutes.

In a separate bowl, mix together the breadcrumbs and minced garlic.

Remove the lamb from the oven and top with the crispy onions and breadcrumb mixture.

Return the lamb to the oven and continue cooking for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).
