Japanese-Style Mushroom Onigiri
A twist on the classic Japanese rice ball, filled with sautéed mushrooms and served as a snack or light meal. This recipe showcases the earthy flavors of mushrooms and the simplicity of Japanese cuisine.

- ●1 cup Mushroomssuch as shiitake or cremini
- ●2 tbsp Soy sauce
- ●1 tbsp Rice vinegar
- ●1 tsp Sugar
- ●to taste Salt

Prepare the Japanese rice according to the package instructions.

Sauté the mushrooms in a pan with a little oil until they're tender and fragrant.

In a small saucepan, combine soy sauce, rice vinegar, sugar, and salt. Bring to a boil over medium heat, then reduce the heat to low and simmer for 5 minutes.
