Uruguayan Empanadas with Zesty Cheese Filling
A twist on traditional empanadas, this recipe combines the earthy flavors of Uruguay with a zesty cheese filling.
Ingredients
- β2 cups Empanada DoughStore-bought or homemade
- β1 block Uruguayan Cheese (Queso Fresco)Crumbly, white cheese
- β1 cup Zesty Cheese Filling (Queso con Aji)Mix of Queso Fresco, diced onion, and chopped fresh cilantro
- β2 tsp Earthly Spice BlendMix of dried oregano, cumin, and paprika
- β1/2 tsp SaltTo taste
- β1/4 cup Fresh CilantroChopped for garnish
- β1/4 cup Olive OilFor brushing empanada dough

Roll out empanada dough to a thickness of 1/8 inch.

Cut out circles of dough using a cookie cutter or the rim of a glass.
