- β1 cup zesty red wineor beef broth
- β1 large onionchopped
- β2 inches gingergrated
- β2 teaspoons garam masalaground
- β1 teaspoon cuminground
- β1 teaspoon turmericground
- β1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepperoptional

Heat oil in a large Dutch oven over medium heat.
