Argentinian Seitan Empanadas
A twist on traditional empanadas, filled with savory seitan and served with a side of zesty golden sauce.
Ingredients
- β1 package (12-15 empanada wrappers) Golden Empanada Pastry
- β1 package (12 oz) Argentinian Seitan
- β1/2 cup (store-bought or homemade) Zesty Golden Sauce
- β1/2 cup, finely chopped Onion
- β1 tsp Cumin
- β1/2 tsp Paprika
- β1/4 tsp Salt

Preheat oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C).

Prepare the Argentinian seitan according to package instructions.

Chop the onion and mix with cumin, paprika, and salt.

Add the chopped onion mixture to the cooked seitan and mix well.

Place a tablespoon of the seitan mixture onto the center of an empanada wrapper.

Fold the wrapper in half and press the edges to seal.

Brush the tops of the empanadas with a little water and cut a few slits for ventilation.

Place the empanadas on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Drizzle the zesty golden sauce over the empanadas.

Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
