Beef Stew
A hearty beef stew recipe perfect for a cold winter's day. The addition of gooey cheese and zesty spices takes this classic dish to the next level.
Ingredients
- ●1.5 lbs beef stew meat
- ●1 medium onionchopped
- ●2 medium carrotpeeled and chopped
- ●2 medium potatopeeled and chopped
- ●8 oz mushroomsliced
- ●1 cup gooseberriesor other berries
- ●1/2 cup goey cheeseshredded
- ●1 tsp zesty seasoningsuch as paprika and garlic powder
- ●2 cups beef broth

Heat oil in a large Dutch oven over medium-high heat.

Brown the beef on all sides, then set aside.

Add more oil if necessary, then sauté the onion, carrot, and potato until the vegetables are tender.

Add the browned beef back in, along with the beef broth, gooseberries, and zesty seasoning.
