Pollo Tikka Masala
A classic Indian-inspired dish made with marinated chicken cooked in a creamy tomato sauce. Serve over basmati rice for a flavorful and aromatic meal.
Ingredients
- β1 pound chicken breastcut into 1-inch pieces
- β1 cup plain yogurtfor marinade
- β2 tablespoons lemon juicefor marinade
- β2 teaspoons garam masalafor marinade
- β1 teaspoon cumin powderfor marinade
- β1 teaspoon coriander powderfor marinade
- β1 cup tomato pureefor sauce
- β1 medium onionchopped
- β1 medium gingergrated
- β1/2 teaspoon cinnamonfor sauce
- β1/4 teaspoon cardamomfor sauce
- β1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepperfor sauce

Marinate the chicken in yogurt, lemon juice, garam masala, cumin powder, and coriander powder for at least 30 minutes.

Heat oil in a pan over medium-high heat and grill the chicken until browned and cooked through.

In the same pan, add onion, ginger, cinnamon, cardamom, and cayenne pepper and sautΓ© until the onion is translucent.

Add tomato puree and stir to combine.

Simmer the sauce for 10-15 minutes or until it thickens.
