Classic Italian Lasagna
Layers of pasta, rich sauce, and a blend of cheeses create a delicious Italian dish.
Ingredients
- β8-10 sheets Lasagna pastawide flat noodles
- β2 cups Italian tomato saucehomemade or store-bought
- β1 cup Ricotta cheesedairy or vegan alternative
- β1 cup shredded Mozzarella cheesedairy or vegan alternative
- β1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheesedairy or vegan alternative
- β1/4 cup chopped Fresh basiloptional

Preheat oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C).

Cook lasagna pasta according to package directions. Drain and set aside.

In a large skillet, heat Italian tomato sauce over medium heat.

Combine ricotta cheese, mozzarella cheese, and Parmesan cheese in a bowl. Mix well.

Spread a layer of tomato sauce in the bottom of a 9x13-inch baking dish.

Arrange 4 lasagna sheets on top of the sauce.

Spread half of the cheese mixture over the pasta.

Repeat the layers: tomato sauce, lasagna sheets, and cheese mixture.

Top with shredded mozzarella cheese and chopped basil (if using).

Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes.

Remove foil and continue baking for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
