Filipino Taro Bilo Balls
A traditional Filipino snack made with taro and bilo. The combination of textures and flavors is a perfect representation of Filipino cuisine. These crispy fried balls are a delicious treat.
Ingredients

- β1 cup Bilo, grated
- β1/2 cup All-purpose flour
- β1/4 teaspoon Salt
- β1/4 cup Water
- βas needed Vegetable oil for frying

In a large mixing bowl, combine grated taro and bilo. Mix well.

Add all-purpose flour, salt, and water to the mixture. Mix until a dough forms.

Knead the dough for 5-7 minutes until it becomes smooth.

Divide the dough into small balls. You should end up with around 20-25 balls.

Heat vegetable oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat.

When the oil is hot, add a few taro bilo balls to the pan and fry until golden brown.

Remove the fried balls from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
