Mushroom and Chestnut Satvik Wrap
A delicious and healthy satvik dish that combines the earthy flavors of mushrooms and chestnuts with the warmth of spices.
Ingredients
- β1 cup, peeled and sliced chestnut
- β1 cup, sliced mushroom
- β4-6, whole wheat or satvik wrap
- β1/4 cup, chopped fresh cilantro or parsley leaf
- β1 tsp, lemon juice or vinegar zesty
- βas needed, for cooking chestnuts steam
Instructions

Preheat a steamer or a large pot with a steamer basket.

Add 2 cups of water to the pot and bring to a boil.

Add the chestnuts to the steamer and steam for 15-20 minutes, or until tender.

Meanwhile, heat a non-stick pan over medium heat.

Add the sliced mushrooms and cook until they release their moisture and start to brown.

Add the cooked chestnuts to the pan with the mushrooms.

Add the chopped leaf and zesty seasoning to the pan and stir to combine.

Warm the wraps in the oven or in a dry pan.

Assemble the wraps by spooning the mushroom and chestnut mixture onto the center of each wrap.

Fold the bottom half of the wrap up over the filling, then fold in the sides and roll up the wrap to form a tight cylinder.
