Tuna Tagine Tagine
A flavorful Middle Eastern-inspired dish featuring tuna and zesty tagine sauce. Serve over couscous for a hearty meal.
Ingredients
- β4 tuna steaks6 oz each
- β2 cups tagine saucestore-bought or homemade
- β2 tbsp olive oilfor cooking
- β1 onionchopped
- β2 cloves garlicminced
- β1 tsp cuminground
- β1/4 tsp cayenne pepperoptional
- βto taste saltfor seasoning
- β1/4 cup fresh parsleychopped (for garnish)
Instructions

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

Add the chopped onion and cook until translucent, about 3-4 minutes.

Add the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute, until fragrant.

Add the tuna steaks and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, until browned.

In a small bowl, whisk together the tagine sauce and ground cumin.

Pour the sauce over the tuna and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, until the sauce is bubbly.
