Pork Dumplings with Zesty Russian Sauce
A twist on traditional pan-fried dumplings, served with a tangy zesty Russian sauce for dipping.
Ingredients
- β1 pound Russian pork ground
- β2 cups All-purpose flour
- β20 wrappers Dumpling wrappers
- β1 cup Zesty Russian sauceSee below for recipe
- β1 tablespoon Vegetable oil
- βto taste Salt
- βto taste Black pepper

1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the Russian pork ground, 1 tablespoon vegetable oil, salt, and black pepper. Mix well with your hands until just combined.

2. Lay a dumpling wrapper on a flat surface. Place a tablespoon of the pork mixture in the center of the wrapper.

3. Dip your finger in a small amount of water and run it along the edges of the wrapper.

4. Fold the wrapper into a half-moon shape, pressing the edges together to seal the dumpling.

5. Repeat with the remaining wrappers and pork mixture.

6. In a large skillet or wok, heat 1-2 tablespoons of vegetable oil over medium-high heat.

7. When the oil is hot, add the dumplings to the skillet and cook until the bottom is golden brown, about 2-3 minutes.

8. Flip the dumplings over and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, until the other side is also golden brown.

9. Remove the dumplings from the skillet and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain any excess oil.
