Dutch Lamb Stew
A hearty and flavorful stew made with lamb and a blend of spices.
Ingredients
- β1 pound Lamb shoulderBone-in
- β2 tablespoons Dutch mustardZesty flavor
- β1 teaspoon Smoked paprikaSmoky flavor
- β1 medium OnionChopped
- β2 medium CarrotSliced
- β2 large PotatoSliced
- β2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauceGluten-free

- β1/2 teaspoon Black pepper

Preheat the oven to 300Β°F (150Β°C).

Season the lamb shoulder with salt and black pepper.

Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a Dutch oven over medium-high heat.

Sear the lamb shoulder until browned on all sides, about 2-3 minutes per side.

Remove the lamb from the pot and set it aside.

Add the chopped onion to the pot and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.

Add the sliced carrots and potatoes to the pot and cook for an additional 5 minutes.

Add the Worcestershire sauce, Dutch mustard, and smoked paprika to the pot.

Stir to combine and bring to a simmer.

Return the lamb to the pot and cover with a lid.

Transfer the pot to the preheated oven and braise for 2 1/2 hours, or until the lamb is tender.
