Smoky Moroccan Chicken Tagine
A rich and aromatic North African stew made with smoky spices, zesty lemons, and tender chicken.
Ingredients
- β1.5 lbs chicken breastsboneless, skinless
- β2 tbsp olive oil
- β1 large onionchopped
- β3 cloves garlicminced
- β1 tsp cumin
- β1 tsp coriander
- β1 tsp smoked paprika
- β2 lemonsjuiced
- β1 cup chicken broth
- β1 tsp tagine spice blend
Instructions

Heat the olive oil in a large tagine or Dutch oven over medium heat.

Add the chopped onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.

Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.

Add the cumin, coriander, smoked paprika, and tagine spice blend. Cook for 1 minute.

Add the chicken breasts and cook until browned on all sides, about 5-7 minutes.

Add the chicken broth, lemon juice, and chopped fresh parsley. Bring to a simmer.

Cover the tagine and cook over low heat for 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through.
