Argentinian Beef Empanadas
Tender beef empanadas with a zesty twist, inspired by the flavors of Argentina.
Ingredients
- β500g Ground beef
- β1 medium Onion
- β3 cloves Garlic
- β1 Egg
- β2 tbsp Water
- β2 tsp Zesty seasoning
- β1 package Pastry dough (homemade or store-bought)
- βto taste Salt

Preheat oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C).

In a large pan, cook the ground beef over medium-high heat until browned, breaking it up with a spoon as it cooks.

Add the onion and garlic to the pan and cook until the onion is translucent.

Add the egg, water, and zesty seasoning to the pan and stir to combine.

Let the mixture cool to room temperature.

Roll out the pastry dough to a thickness of about 1/8 inch (3 mm).

Cut out circles of dough using a cookie cutter or the rim of a glass.

Place a tablespoon of the beef mixture in the center of each dough circle.

Fold the dough over the filling to form a half-moon shape and press the edges together to seal.

Brush the tops of the empanadas with a little water and sprinkle with salt.

Place the empanadas on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
