Lamb Tagine Tacos
A fusion twist on traditional Mexican tacos, infused with the rich flavors of a Tunisian-inspired lamb tagine.
Ingredients
- β1.5 pounds Lamb Shoulder
- β2 tablespoons Tunisian Spice Blend
- β1 large Onion
- β3 cloves Garlic
- β1 teaspoon Cumin
- β1 teaspoon Chili Powder
- β1 teaspoon Salt
- β1/2 teaspoon Black Pepper
- β1/4 cup Chopped Fresh Cilantro
- β2 tablespoons Lime Juice

Preheat oven to 300Β°F (150Β°C).

Season the lamb with Tunisian Spice Blend, salt, and black pepper.

Heat a large Dutch oven over medium-high heat. Sear the lamb until browned on all sides, about 5 minutes.

Add the onion and garlic to the pot and cook until the onion is translucent, about 5 minutes.

Transfer the pot to the preheated oven and cook the lamb for 2-3 hours, or until tender.

Shred the lamb with two forks and stir in the cumin and chili powder.

Warm tortillas by wrapping them in a damp paper towel and microwaving for 20-30 seconds.

Assemble the tacos by spooning the lamb mixture onto a tortilla, topping with cilantro and a squeeze of lime juice.
