Traditional Algerian Bitter Dumplings
A unique, gluten-free dessert featuring bitter dumplings in a sweet gooey sauce, topped with a creamy milk glaze.
Ingredients

- ●12 Dumplingshomemade or store-bought, gluten-free
- ●1/2 cup Gooey saucesee below for sauce ingredients
- ●1 cup Milk
- ●2 tbsp Sugaroptional, for extra sweetness

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

Prepare gooey sauce by melting 2 tbsp of sugar, 1/4 cup of milk, and 2 tbsp of Algerian bitter in a saucepan over low heat.

Dip each dumpling into the gooey sauce, coating evenly.

Place coated dumplings on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Bake for 15 minutes or until dumplings are lightly toasted.

While the dumplings bake, prepare the milk glaze by whisking together 1 cup of milk and 2 tbsp of sugar in a small bowl.

Remove dumplings from the oven and brush with milk glaze.
