Chicken Biryani
A classic Italian-inspired biryani dish made with marinated chicken and flavorful basmati rice.
Ingredients
- β1 lb chicken breastcut into bite-sized pieces
- β2 cups sweet ricepreferably basmati
- β2 tbsp olive oil
- β1 medium onionchopped
- β3 cloves garlicminced
- β1 cup tomato sauce
- β1 tsp Italian seasoning
- βto taste salt
- βto taste black pepper

Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

Add the chopped onion and cook until translucent, about 3-4 minutes.

Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.

Add the chicken to the skillet and cook until browned, about 5-6 minutes.

Add the tomato sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper to the skillet.

Stir to combine and bring to a simmer.

Add the sweet rice to the skillet and stir to combine with the chicken and sauce.

Reduce heat to low and simmer, covered, for 20-25 minutes or until the rice is cooked.
