Kaleidoscope Chive Fritters
Crispy fritters filled with a kaleidoscope of flavors and topped with chives. Perfect as a snack or appetizer.
Ingredients
- β1 cup all-purpose flour
- β1/4 cup kaleidoscope
- β1/2 cup onionfinely chopped
- β2 cloves garlicminced
- β1 eggsbeaten
- β2 tablespoons chivechopped
- β2 tablespoons buttermelted
- β1/2 cup water

Preheat the oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C).

In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, kaleidoscope, and a pinch of salt.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the onion, garlic, eggs, and chopped chive.

Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.

Add the melted butter and water, and stir until the mixture forms a smooth batter.

Using a 1/4 cup measuring cup, scoop the batter into a bowl of cold water.

Using a slotted spoon, remove the batter from the water and place it on a plate.

Repeat with the remaining batter, until all of the fritters are formed.

Heat about 1/2 inch of oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

When the oil is hot, add a few of the fritters to the skillet and fry until golden brown.

Using a slotted spoon, remove the fritters from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate.

Serve the fritters hot, garnished with additional chopped chive if desired.
