Duck Tagine with Creamy Sauce
A rich and flavorful North African-inspired dish featuring tender duck and a creamy sauce. Serve over couscous for a satisfying meal.
Ingredients
- β1 lb Duck breastBoneless and skinless
- β2 tsp Canadian tagine spice blend
- β2 tbsp Olive oil
- β1 OnionChopped
- β3 cloves GarlicMinced
- β1 cup Canned diced tomatoes
- β1 cup Chicken broth
- β1/2 cup Heavy cream
- β Salt and pepper

Preheat oven to 300Β°F (150Β°C).

Season the duck breast with salt, pepper, and tagine spice blend.

Heat the olive oil in a Dutch oven over medium-high heat.

Sear the duck breast until browned on both sides, about 2-3 minutes per side.

Remove the duck from the pot and set aside.

Add the chopped onion to the pot and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.

Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.

Add the diced tomatoes, chicken broth, and heavy cream to the pot.

Return the duck breast to the pot and cover with a lid.
