Croatian Creamy Lasagna
A creamy twist on a classic Italian dish, using Croatian cheese for added flavor.
Ingredients
- β8-10 sheets Lasagna noodles
- β1 cup, shredded Croatian cheese
- β8 oz, softened Cream cheese
- β1 cup Milk
- β1, beaten Egg
- β1/2 tsp Salt
- β1/4 tsp Black pepper
- β2 cloves, minced Garlic
- β1/4 cup, chopped Fresh parsley

Preheat oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C).

Cook lasagna noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

In a medium saucepan, combine cream cheese, milk, egg, salt, black pepper, and garlic. Heat over medium heat, whisking constantly, until smooth and hot.

Stir in Croatian cheese until melted and well combined.

Spread a thin layer of the cheese sauce in the bottom of a 9x13-inch baking dish. Arrange 4 lasagna noodles on top.

Spread half of the remaining cheese sauce over the noodles. Sprinkle with half of the remaining Croatian cheese.

Repeat the layers, starting with the noodles, then the cheese sauce, and finally the remaining Croatian cheese.

Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes.

Remove the foil and continue baking for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the lasagna is hot and bubbly.

Remove from the oven and let it rest for 10-15 minutes before slicing and serving.
