Ukrainian Potato Dumplings
A hearty Ukrainian dish featuring pan-fried dumplings filled with mashed potatoes and crispy onions.
Ingredients

- β1/4 cup Crispy Onionsdiced
- β2 cups All-purpose flourfor dumpling dough
- β1 Eggbeaten
- β1/2 cup Waterfor dumpling dough
- βto taste Saltfor dumpling dough
- β2 tablespoons Butterfor frying

Combine flour, egg, and water in a bowl to make the dumpling dough. Knead for 5 minutes.

Divide the dough into small balls, about 1-inch in diameter.

Roll out each ball into a thin circle.

Place a tablespoon of mashed potatoes in the center of each circle.

Fold the dough over the potatoes, forming a half-moon shape, and press the edges together to seal.

Heat a large frying pan with butter over medium heat.

Add the dumplings to the pan, flat side down.

Cook for 3-4 minutes, until golden brown.
