Vegetarian Puff Pastry Pinwheels
A delicious and easy-to-make snack or appetizer, perfect for vegetarians. This recipe combines the flaky goodness of puff pastry with the crunch of pak chhana.
Ingredients
- ●1 package (1 sheet) Puff Pastry, thawedavailable in most supermarkets
- ●1 cup Pak Chhana (Indian-style paneer)available in most Indian grocery stores
- ●1 tsp Cured Paprikaadds a nice smoky flavor
- ●1 tsp Garlic Powderoptional, but adds depth
- ●to taste Saltuse as needed

1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2. Roll out the puff pastry to a thickness of about 1/8 inch (3 mm).

3. Spread the pak chhana over the center of the pastry, leaving a 1-inch (2.5 cm) border around the edges.

4. Sprinkle the cured paprika and garlic powder (if using) over the pak chhana.

5. Brush the edges of the pastry with a little water.

6. Roll the pastry into a tight log, starting from the long side.

7. Cut the log into 1-inch (2.5 cm) thick slices.

8. Place the pinwheels on the prepared baking sheet, leaving about 1 inch (2.5 cm) of space between each.
