Delicious Syrian Garlic Meatballs
A traditional Syrian dish with a twist of flavor, these meatballs are perfect for a quick and easy dinner.
Ingredients
- β1 pound Ground Meat80/20 ground beef or lamb
- β1 cup, cubed Dense Syrian Breadstale bread works best
- β3 cloves Minced Garlicadjust to taste
- β1 teaspoon Saltadjust to taste
- β1/2 teaspoon Black Pepperfreshly ground preferred
- β1/4 cup, breadcrumbs Bakeoptional

Preheat oven to 400Β°F (200Β°C).

In a large mixing bowl, combine ground meat, cubed bread, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper. Mix well with your hands until just combined.

Use your hands to shape the mixture into meatballs, about 1 1/2 inches in diameter. Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until cooked through. If using breadcrumbs, sprinkle on top of meatballs before baking.

While meatballs are baking, heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add 2 tablespoons of oil and swirl to coat.

Once meatballs are done, carefully place in the skillet and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes on each side, until browned.
