Spicy Ethiopian Vermicelli Jjigae
A spicy, satisfying vermicelli jjigae dish with Ethiopian flavors, perfect for a quick dinner.
Ingredients
- ●1 package Vermicellidried
- ●2 tablespoons Energizing Chili Sauceadjust to taste
- ●1 medium Onionchopped
- ●3 cloves Garlicminced
- ●1 can Tomatocrushed
- ●2 cups Vegetable Brothlow sodium
- ●1 cup Wateroptional
- ●1-2 Green Chiliesdepending on desired heat level
- ●to taste Salt

1. Reconstitute the vermicelli by soaking it in hot water for about 5 minutes.

2. Drain the vermicelli and set it aside.

3. In a large pan, heat 1 tablespoon of energizing chili sauce over medium heat.

4. Add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent.

5. Add the minced garlic and sauté for another minute.

6. Add the crushed tomato, vegetable broth, and water (if using). Bring the mixture to a simmer.

7. Add the reconstituted vermicelli to the pan and stir to combine.
