Saudi Arabian Lamb Kebabs
A flavorful and aromatic Indian-inspired dish featuring marinated lamb kebabs served with a side of exotic spices.
Ingredients
- β1.5 lbs (675g) Lamb shoulder or leg, dicedCut into 1-inch (2.5 cm) cubes
- β1 cup (240ml) YogurtPlain, unflavored
- β2 tbsp (30ml) Ghee or vegetable oilFor brushing kebabs
- β2 tsp (10g) Exotic spice mix (e.g., garam masala, cumin, coriander, cinnamon, cardamom)
- β1 tsp (5g) Saudi Arabian kebab spice blend
- β1 tsp (5g) Salt
- β1 tsp (5g) Black pepper
- β2-3 Green chilies, mincedAdjust to taste
- β1/4 cup (15g) Fresh cilantro, choppedFor garnish

In a large bowl, whisk together yogurt, ghee or oil, exotic spice mix, kebab spice blend, salt, black pepper, and green chilies.

Add the lamb cubes to the marinade and mix well to coat. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight.

Preheat grill to medium-high heat. Thread the marinated lamb cubes onto skewers, leaving a small space between each piece.

Brush the grill with oil to prevent sticking. Grill the kebabs for 8-10 minutes per side, or until cooked through.

Transfer the kebabs to a plate and garnish with chopped cilantro.
