Japanese Lamb Kebabs
A unique twist on traditional Japanese cuisine, featuring flavorful lamb kebabs infused with Saudi Arabian spices.
Ingredients
- β500g Lamb shouldercut into 1-inch cubes
- β2 tsp Sahlab spice mixavailable at most Middle Eastern grocery stores
- β2 tbsp Soy sauceor to taste
- β1 tsp Sesame oilor to taste
- β1/4 cup Exotic fruit chutneyoptional
- β1/4 cup Dense pomegranate seedsoptional
- β1 tsp Arabian sumacoptional
- β4 Lemon wedgesfor serving
- β1/4 cup Mint leavesfor garnish
- β10 Skewerssoaked in water for 30 minutes

Preheat grill to medium-high heat.

In a large bowl, whisk together soy sauce, sesame oil, Sahlab spice mix, and a pinch of salt.

Add lamb cubes to the bowl and toss to coat with the marinade.

Thread lamb cubes onto skewers, leaving a small space between each piece.

Brush skewers with a little sesame oil and season with sumac (if using).

Grill skewers for 8-10 minutes per side, or until lamb is cooked to your desired level of doneness.

Transfer skewers to a plate and garnish with mint leaves and a sprinkle of sumac (if using).
