Irish Beef Stew
A hearty and comforting beef stew with a kick of heat, inspired by Irish cuisine.
Ingredients
- β1 pound Beef Stew Meat
- β1 large OnionDiced
- β3 cloves GarlicMinced
- β2 teaspoons Irish Stew Seasoning
- β1/2 teaspoon Red Pepper FlakesFor some heat
- β2 tablespoons All-Purpose FlourFor thickening
- β2 cups Beef BrothLow-sodium
- β1/2 cup Red WineOptional
Instructions

Heat oil in a large Dutch oven over medium-high heat.

Add beef and cook until browned, about 5 minutes. Remove from pot and set aside.

Add onion and garlic to pot and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.

Add Irish Stew Seasoning and red pepper flakes to pot and cook for 1 minute.

Add flour to pot and cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly.

Gradually add beef broth and red wine to pot, whisking until smooth.

Return beef to pot and bring to a boil.

Reduce heat to low and simmer, covered, for 2 1/2 hours, or until beef is tender.

Season with salt and pepper to taste.
