Caramelized Hake with Flaky Crust
A delicious and easy-to-make dish featuring hake fillets topped with a caramelized crust, perfect for a weeknight dinner.

- β1 package flaky pastryThawed
- β1/2 cup caramelized onionsHomemade or store-bought
- β2 tablespoons skillet oilAny neutral oil

Preheat oven to 400Β°F (200Β°C).

Season the hake fillets with salt and black pepper.

Roll out the flaky pastry to a thickness of 1/8 inch (3 mm).

Place the hake fillets on one half of the pastry, leaving a 1/2 inch (1 cm) border.

Brush the edges of the pastry with skillet oil.

Fold the other half of the pastry over the hake fillets, pressing gently to seal.
