Japanese Bulgur Pilaf

- β1 cup bulgurmedium grain
- β2 tbsp fresh sesame oilused for cooking
- β2 tbsp Japanese soy sauceor tamari for gluten-free
- β1 cup carrotspeeled and grated
- β1/2 cup green onionsthinly sliced
- β1/4 cup toasted sesame seedsoptional garnish
- β2 cups waterfor cooking bulgur

Instructions

In a medium saucepan, heat sesame oil over medium heat.

Add grated carrots and cook until tender, about 3-4 minutes.

Add bulgur, water, and soy sauce to the saucepan.
