Traditional German Pear Crumble
A classic German dessert featuring poached pears topped with a crunchy oat and brown sugar crumble.
Ingredients
- β3 Pearsany variety
- β1 cup All-purpose flourfor gluten-free, substitute with gluten-free flour
- β1/2 cup Sugarwhite or brown sugar
- β1 cup Oatsrolled oats
- β1/2 cup Brown sugar
- β1/2 cup Unsalted buttermelted
- β1 tsp Vanilla extract

Preheat the oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C).

Peel, core, and halve the pears. Place them in a large bowl.

In a separate bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, oats, and brown sugar. Add the melted butter and mix until crumbly.

Pour the crumble mixture evenly over the pears.

Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and microwave on high for 10-12 minutes, or until the pears are tender.

Transfer the pear mixture to a 9-inch baking dish and top with additional crumble mixture if desired.
