Hearty Dutch Hash
A hearty Dutch-inspired breakfast hash filled with diced onions and topped with a fried egg. Great for a weekend brunch.
Ingredients
- β2 cups diced Hash brownsHomemade or store-bought
- β1 medium, diced Diced onion
- β2 Egg
- β1 pound, cooked and crumbled Ground beefSeason with taco seasoning
- β1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
- β1 teaspoon Cumin
- β1/2 teaspoon Paprika
- β Salt and pepper
- β1/4 cup Salsa
- βoptional Avocado or sour cream

1. In a large skillet, cook the crumbled ground beef over medium-high heat until browned.

2. Add the diced onion and cook until softened.

3. Stir in cumin and paprika.

4. Add the cooked hash browns and stir to combine.

5. Using a spatula, shape the mixture into a rectangular shape in the skillet.

6. Create 4-6 wells in the hash and crack an egg into each well.

7. Cook the eggs until the whites are set and the yolks are cooked to your desired doneness.

8. Sprinkle shredded cheese on top of the hash and eggs.

9. Cook until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

10. Serve hot with salsa and optional avocado or sour cream on top.
