Smoky Canadian Gruyere Gratin
A rich and creamy gratin dish featuring smoky Canadian bacon and nutty Gruyere cheese. Perfect as a comforting side or main.

- β6 slices Smoked Canadian Bacon
- β1 cup, shredded Gruyere Cheese
- β1/2 cup Heavy Cream
- β2 tbsp All-purpose Flour
- βto taste Salt
- βto taste Black Pepper

Preheat oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C).

Cook the Canadian bacon in a pan over medium heat until crispy, then set aside.

In the same pan, add the flour and whisk to combine with any remaining bacon fat. Cook for 1 minute.

Slowly pour in the heavy cream, whisking constantly to avoid lumps. Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook for 2-3 minutes, until thickened.

Remove the pan from the heat and stir in the shredded Gruyere cheese until melted and smooth.

In a separate dish, arrange the cooked Canadian bacon in a single layer. Pour the cheese sauce over the bacon and sprinkle with additional Gruyere if desired.
