Syrian Braised Cabbage and Hearty Gratin

- β2 tablespoons olive oil
- β1 large, chopped onion
- β3 cloves, minced garlic
- β1 teaspoon allspice
- β1 teaspoon cumin
- β2 tablespoons tomato paste
- β1 cup bechamel sauce

Preheat oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C).

In a large pot, heat oil over medium heat. Add onion and cook until softened, 5 minutes.
