Pan-Seared Tuna with French Indian Sauce
A fusion of French and Indian flavors, this dish features seared tuna steaks served with a rich and creamy sauce.
Ingredients
- β4 Tuna Steaks (6 oz)
- β1 can Rajma (Kidney Beans)drained and rinsed
- β2 tsp Jhol (Indian Spice Blend)
- β1 tsp Heavenly (Garam Masala)
- β1 tsp Indian (Coriander Powder)
- β2 tbsp Butter
- β1 cup Heavy Cream
- β1/4 cup White Wine
- βto taste Salt
- βto taste Black Pepper

Season the tuna steaks with salt and black pepper.

Heat 1 tbsp of butter in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the tuna steaks and sear for 2-3 minutes per side, or until cooked to desired doneness.

Remove the tuna from the skillet and set aside.

In the same skillet, add the remaining 1 tbsp of butter. Add the Indian spice blend and cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly.

Add the kidney beans, coriander powder, and garam masala to the skillet. Cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Add the white wine to the skillet and cook until the liquid has almost completely evaporated.

Stir in the heavy cream and bring the mixture to a simmer.

Return the tuna steaks to the skillet and spoon some of the sauce over the top of each steak.

Simmer the tuna in the sauce for 1-2 minutes, or until heated through.

Serve the tuna steaks hot, garnished with fresh herbs if desired.
