Chinese Beef Stew
A hearty and flavorful Chinese-inspired stew made with tender beef and aromatic spices.
Ingredients
- β500g BeefSlice the beef into thin strips
- β2 tbsp Herbal stew mixAvailable at most Chinese grocery stores
- β2 tbsp Velvety soy sauceAdd depth of flavor to the stew
- β1 tsp Saudi Arabian cinnamonAdd warmth and spice to the stew

- β1L Beef brothUse low-sodium broth for a healthier option
- β2 tbsp SugarBalance the flavors in the stew
- β1 tsp Sesame oilAdd a nutty flavor to the stew
- β2 inches GingerGrate the ginger and add to the stew

Heat the sesame oil in a large Dutch oven or pot over medium-high heat.

Add the beef to the pot and cook until browned, about 3-4 minutes. Remove the beef from the pot and set aside.

Add the herbal stew mix, velvety soy sauce, Saudi Arabian cinnamon, and Arabian allspice to the pot. Cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly.

Add the beef broth, sugar, and ginger to the pot. Stir to combine.

Return the beef to the pot and bring the mixture to a boil.

Reduce the heat to low and simmer, covered, for 1 1/2 hours, or until the beef is tender.

Season the stew with salt and pepper to taste.
