Italian Hake Pasta
A light and flavorful Italian-inspired pasta dish featuring pan-seared hake and kombu-infused broth.
Ingredients
- ●4 fillets (120g each) hake
- ●250g pastapreferably Italian flat pasta
- ●4 pieces (40g each) kombu
- ●2 tbsp olive oil
- ●3 cloves garlic
- ●1 jar (120g) dressed

1. Cut the kombu into smaller pieces and soak in water for 30 minutes.

2. Cut the hake fillets into 120g portions.

3. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the pasta according to package instructions.

4. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat and sauté the garlic until fragrant.

5. Add the hake to the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side, until cooked through.

6. Remove the hake from the skillet and set aside.

7. Add the kombu to the skillet and cook for 1-2 minutes, until fragrant.

8. Stir in the dressed and bring the mixture to a simmer.

9. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss with the kombu-infused broth.

10. Serve the pasta with the pan-seared hake on top.
