One Pot Canadian Dish
A hearty, comforting one pot meal that combines the flavors of Canada. Perfect for a weeknight dinner.
Ingredients
- β500g ground beef80/20 lean to fat ratio
- β250g mushroomsbutton or cremini
- β2 carrotsmedium size
- β3 potatoesmedium size
- β1 onionmedium size
- β2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- β1L beef brothhomestyle or low sodium
- β2 tbsp tomato paste
- β1 tsp dried thyme
- β1 tsp dried rosemary
- β1 tsp salt
- β1 tsp black pepper

Heat a large stone bowl over medium-high heat.

Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up into small pieces as it cooks.

Add the onion, mushrooms, carrots, and potatoes to the bowl.

Cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Add the flour to the bowl and stir to combine.

Gradually add the beef broth to the bowl, whisking continuously.

Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to medium-low and simmer for 20 minutes.

Add the tomato paste, thyme, rosemary, salt, and pepper to the bowl.
