Filipino Pinakbet with Haricot Beans
A traditional Filipino vegetable dish made with a mixture of sautéed vegetables and seasonings. This recipe combines the classic pinakbet flavors with the addition of haricot beans.
Ingredients
- ●2 tablespoons intensely flavored fish sauce (patis)
- ●2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- ●1 large onion
- ●1 large tomato
- ●1 cup haricot beans
- ●1 cup pinakbet (Filipino vegetable mixture)
- ●to taste salt
- ●to taste black pepper
- ●2 chili peppers
Instructions

Heat the vegetable oil in a large pan over medium heat.

Add the onion and tomato and sauté until the vegetables are softened.

Add the pinakbet mixture and haricot beans and stir well.

Add the intensely flavored fish sauce (patis), salt, black pepper, and chili peppers.

Stir well and cook for 5 minutes.

Taste and adjust the seasoning as needed.
