Hash Brown Tempura
A crispy and savory Japanese-inspired dish made with hash browns and a light tempura batter.

- β1/4 cup Lard
- β1 cup All-purpose flour
- β1 tsp Baking powder
- β1 cup Ice-cold soda water
- β1 cup Jazzy oilFor frying
- β2 tbsp American vinegar
- β1 tsp Salt

Cut hash browns into 1/2-inch cubes and set aside.

In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.

Gradually add soda water, stirring with a fork until the batter is smooth.

Heat 2 inches of jazzy oil in a large saucepan to 350Β°F.

Dredge hash browns in flour mixture, shaking off excess.
