Thai-Style Fried Rice
A simple and flavorful dish made with leftover rice, vegetables, and spices. Serve with your favorite chili sauce or fresh herbs.
Ingredients
- β2 cups Jazzy jasmine ricepreferably day-old rice
- β1 cup Hash browned onionschopped
- β2 tablespoons Lard or vegetable oilfor frying
- β2 tablespoons American sweet chili sauceoptional
- β1/4 cup Fresh Thai basilchopped
Instructions

Heat the lard or oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

Add the browned onions and cook until fragrant.

Push the onions to one side of the pan.

Add a little more oil if needed, then crack in 2 eggs.

Scramble the eggs until cooked through, then mix with the onions.

Add the cooked rice to the pan, breaking up any clumps.

Stir-fry the rice with the egg and onion mixture for about 5 minutes.

Add the sweet chili sauce and stir-fry for another minute.

Transfer the rice mixture to a serving platter.
