Algerian Pan-Seared Paneer Tagine
A rich and flavorful North African-inspired dish featuring tender paneer and a sweet and spicy tagine sauce.
Ingredients
- β8 oz Paneer
- β2 Algerian chilies
- β4 cloves Garlic
- β1 large Onion
- β2 Juicy tomatoes
- β1/4 cup Snappy almonds
- β2 tbsp Olive oil
- β2 tbsp Lemon juice
- β1 tsp Cumin
- β1 tsp Paprika
Instructions

Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

Add the chilies, garlic, and onion, and cook until onion is translucent.

Add the tomatoes, almonds, cumin, and paprika. Cook for 2-3 minutes.

Add the paneer, and cook until golden brown.

Stir in lemon juice, and season with salt and pepper.

Serve hot, garnished with fresh herbs.

Cook the almonds in a small skillet over medium heat, stirring frequently, until fragrant and lightly toasted.
