Cranberry Songpyeon
A sweet and tangy twist on traditional Korean songpyeon, these dumplings are filled with a sweet cranberry and juicy filling.
Ingredients
- β1 cup Cranberry filling mixture
- β1 package Songpyeon doughavailable at Korean markets or online
- β2 tablespoons Vegetable oil
- β1 pinch Salt
- β2 tablespoons Sugar
- β1/4 teaspoon Korean chili flakes (gochugaru)optional for some heat
- β2 tablespoons Water
Instructions

Combine cranberry filling mixture, sugar, salt, and Korean chili flakes in a bowl.

Divide songpyeon dough into small pieces and roll out into thin circles.

Place a tablespoon of cranberry filling mixture in the center of each dough circle.

Fold the dough over the filling and press the edges together to seal.

Heat a tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat.

Add the dumplings to the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown.

Increase heat to high and add 2 tablespoons of water to the skillet.

Cover the skillet and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, or until the dumplings are cooked through.
