Beef Pirozhki Stew
A hearty beef stew made with smoked beef, corned beef, and a hint of russian spices, served with crispy pirozhki on the side.
Ingredients
- β1 pound, cut into 1-inch cubes Smoked Beef
- β1/2 pound, cut into 1-inch cubes Corned Beef
- β6-8 pieces Pirozhkifor serving
- β1 large, chopped Onion
- β3 cloves, minced Garlic
- β2 tablespoons Tomato Paste
- β2 cups Beef Broth
- βto taste Salt
- βto taste Black Pepper
Instructions

Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a large Dutch oven over medium-high heat.

Add the smoked beef and corned beef and cook until browned, about 5 minutes.

Add the onion and garlic and cook until the onion is translucent, about 5 minutes.

Add the tomato paste and cook for 1-2 minutes, stirring constantly.

Add the beef broth and bring to a boil.

Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 10-15 minutes, or until the beef is tender.

Season with salt and black pepper to taste.

Serve with pirozhki on the side.

To make the pirozhki, preheat the oven to 400Β°F (200Β°C).

Cut the pirozhki in half and place on a baking sheet.

Brush with oil and bake for 5-7 minutes, or until crispy and golden brown.
