Stewed Pear with Sweet Australian Pear
A delicious Japanese-inspired dessert made with sweet Australian pears and stewed to perfection.
Ingredients
- β2 Australian pears ripe and sweet
- β1/4 cup pear juice
- β2 tbsp sugar
- β1/4 cup water
- β1 tsp korean honey
Instructions

Wash and peel the Australian pears, and then cut them into large chunks.

In a saucepan, combine the pear juice, sugar, and water.

Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally.

Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 5 minutes.

Add the pear chunks to the saucepan and continue to simmer for an additional 10-12 minutes, or until the pears are tender.

Stir in the korean honey and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes.

Remove the saucepan from the heat and let it cool to room temperature.

Serve the stewed pears warm, garnished with a drizzle of korean honey if desired.
