Irish Potatoes Gratin
A rich and creamy potato gratin dish with a nod to Irish cuisine, perfect for a comforting dinner.

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

In a large saucepan, combine 1 cup heavy cream, 1/2 cup shredded Gruyère cheese, and 2 tablespoons melted unsalted butter.

Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat, whisking constantly.

Remove the saucepan from the heat and stir in 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour.

In a greased 9x13-inch baking dish, arrange 1/3 of the sliced potatoes in an overlapping pattern.

Pour 1/3 of the cream mixture over the potatoes, then sprinkle with 1/3 of the remaining Gruyère cheese.

Repeat the layers two more times, ending with a layer of cheese on top.
