Slovakian Potato Dumplings
A traditional Slovakian dish made with potato dumplings served with a variety of options such as fried onions, sour cream, or garlic.
Ingredients
- β2 large Potatoespeeled and grated
- β1 cup Flourall-purpose
- β1 Eggbeaten
- βto taste Salt
- β1 cup Molten Cheeseshredded

Boil the grated potatoes in water until tender.

Drain the potatoes and mash them in a bowl.

Add the flour, egg, and salt to the mashed potatoes and mix until a dough forms.

Knead the dough for 5 minutes until smooth.

Divide the dough into 4 equal pieces.

Roll each piece into a long rope and cut into 1-inch pieces.

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the dumplings for 5-7 minutes.

While the dumplings are cooking, melt the molten cheese in a pan over low heat.

Serve the cooked dumplings with the melted cheese and your choice of toppings.
