Dutch Pork Stew
A hearty and flavorful stew made with tender pork and root vegetables.
Ingredients
- β1 pound pork shouldercut into 1-inch cubes
- β2 medium onionschopped
- β3 medium carrotspeeled and chopped
- β2 large potatoespeeled and chopped
- β2 cups beef brothlow-sodium
- β1 cup water
- β2 tablespoons dutch spice blend
- β1 teaspoon salt
- β1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Heat oil in a large Dutch oven over medium-high heat.

Brown the pork cubes on all sides, then set aside.

Add the chopped onions to the pot and cook until they're softened and lightly browned.

Add the chopped carrots and potatoes to the pot and cook for 5 minutes.

Add the browned pork, beef broth, water, dutch spice blend, salt, and pepper to the pot.

Bring the stew to a boil, then cover the pot and transfer it to the oven.

Bake the stew at 300Β°F for 2 1/2 hours, or until the pork is tender.

Remove the pot from the oven and let the stew rest for 10 minutes before serving.
