Slovak Beef Fondue
A hearty Slovak-inspired dish featuring tender beef and a rich fondue. Perfect for a cold evening with friends.
Ingredients
- ●1 pound (450g), cut into bite-sized pieces Beef (sirloin or ribeye)
- ●1 packet (about 2 tablespoons) Fondue mix (Slovakian-style)You can also make your own fondue mix using Emmental and Gruyère cheese
- ●1 cup (240ml) White wineDry white wine, such as Riesling or Chenin Blanc
- ●2 tablespoons Butter
- ●3 cloves, minced Garlic
- ●1 tablespoon Chopped fresh parsley
- ●to taste Salt and pepper

Trim any excess fat from the beef and season with salt and pepper.

Heat the butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

Add the beef to the skillet and cook until browned, about 2-3 minutes.

Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.

In the same skillet, add the garlic and sauté for 1 minute.

Add the fondue mix to the skillet and stir to combine.

Pour in the white wine and bring the mixture to a simmer.

Return the beef to the skillet and cook until the fondue is bubbly and the beef is cooked to your liking.

Stir in the chopped parsley and serve immediately with crusty bread or vegetables.
